An online threat to revenge the death of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed on Sunday prompted Prayagraj police to register a complaint. Since Atiq and his brother Ashraf were shot, it is thought that Atiq's fans are upset. Due of their concern about police intervention, they were unable to respond. However, a menacing statement sent by one of his supporters on social media has gone viral. 'The Sajjad Mughal' was the Twitter account used to post the message. The tweet made threats to settle scores and exact vengeance for the deaths of Atiq and Ashraf.
ADG acknowledges.
This tweet also included a link to an older video of Atiq Ahmed's kid giving a speech. UP's ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar took notice when this tweet began to gain popularity and wrote a letter to Prayagraj's cyber crime station instructing them to take appropriate action. Following this, the police's cyber unit filed a complaint against that Twitter account in accordance with sections 505 and 66 of the IT Act.
Three males, Arun, Lavlesh, and Sunny, who were being held by the police outside Colvin Hospital in Prayagraj, earlier shot and killed Atiq and Ashraf. All three gunmen had been detained by the police.
Exactly what was tweeted
The race is still ongoing, according to a tweet from the “The Sajjad Mughal” account on April 25. Ali is the surviving child of Atiq. Inshallah, things will change regarding the government, the environment, and time. Allahabad will then be summoned and take revenge.
Hand suspected in anti-CAA-NRC agitation
Following the post, an inquiry was launched by filing a complaint against the Twitter account with the Prayagraj Police's cyber station. The police's cyber section is investigating the owner of the Twitter account and their link to Atiq. The police believed that the same individuals who incited the protests against CAA-NRC in Prayagraj may be engaged in stirring up trouble. The cyber team gathered tweet-related content.
