To obtain support for his campaign against Central Ordinance, Kejriwal meets with Mamata

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, and Bhagwant Mann, the leader of his party in Punjab, met with Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, on Tuesday in Kolkata as part of a statewide trip to rally support for their opposition to the Centre's law on control of services in Delhi.
AAP officials Raghav Chadha and Atishi were among them. The private meeting is anticipated to go on for a while.
The National Capital Civil Service Authority central ordinance, which essentially nullifies a Supreme Court order last week giving control of services to the elected government in Delhi aside from those related to police, public order, and land, is expected to be discussed during the leaders' meeting.
The two sides are anticipated to discuss the 2024 presidential election as well as the prospect of creating an opposition unity, according to sources in the chief minister's office here.
Kejriwal tweeted, “Today, I am starting my journey around the country for the rights of the people of Delhi,” before setting off for Kolkata. The people of Delhi had justice served by a decision made by the Supreme Court. The ordinance was introduced by the Center, taking their liberties away.
“It must be assured that this does not pass when it comes before the Rajya Sabha. I'll speak with the head of every political party and beg for their support,” he said.
IAS and DANICS cadre officers' transfers and any related disciplinary problems would be handled by the National Capital Civil Service Authority.
The AAP has already asked for cooperation from all non-BJP parties, claiming that now is the opposition parties' “time for agni pariksha” and that they must band together to preserve the nation's democracy and Constitution.
