PM Modi offers ex-gratia payments of Rs. 2 lakh apiece to the families of those killed in the Malappuram boat capsize event

In response to the deaths caused by the Malappuram boat capsize disaster in Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for each of the deceased's next of kin.
The Malappuram Superintendent of Police (SP) announced on Sunday night that there were now 18 fatalities associated with the Malappuram boat capsize tragedy. “Saddened by the deaths caused by the boat accident in Malappuram, Kerala. Condolences to the families of the deceased. The Prime Minister's office tweeted on Sunday night, “An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF will be handed to the next of kin of each deceased: PM @narendramodi.
A tourist boat capsized close to the Tanur shore during the event, which took place in Kerala's Malappuram district.
The rescue effort was launched when many cars arrived at the scene.
The procedure is being performed.
