When a Mumbai Indians fan asked for Rohit Sharma to return, Akash Ambani responded cheekily, saying

The wealthiest man in India, Mukesh Ambani, is the chairman of Reliance Industries, the nation’s most-valued corporation with a market valuation of over Rs 17.39 trillion. Akash is the son of Mukesh Ambani. One of the most valued IPL teams, the Mumbai Indians, is also owned by Mukesh Ambani. Akash Ambani, the older son of Mukesh Ambani, often supports his players during pivotal games and is engaged in important franchise decisions. Along with CSK, the Mumbai Indians, or MI, are the most successful franchise in IPL history. The MI team is presently receiving mixed reviews after Hardik Pandya took over as captain in place of Rohit Sharma. However, MI supporters were delighted with Akash Ambani’s succinct response. Following his son Ambani’s response to a MI fan at the IPL 2024 auction, social media is exploding with praise for the team and its supporters. Ambani responded cheekily to a fan of MI who yelled, “Rohit Sharma ko wapis lao,” at the occasion.

In response to the MI supporters, Akash Ambani said, “Chinta mat karo, wo batting karega.” The official Twitter account of the Mumbai Indians has also recognized the owner’s response. For those who are unaware, Hardik Pandya’s last-minute return to the team caused a great deal of confusion for MI supporters during the trade window. The supporters were incensed when the club revealed earlier this month that Hardik Pandya would take Rohit Sharma’s place as captain.

The Mumbai Indians have Rs 10.5 crore left in their IPL 2024 budget, but they have still been able to sign major players like Gerald Coetzee, Dilshan Madushanka, and Mohammad Nabi. With players like Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Tilak Verma in the lineup, MI was a formidable team even before the auction.
