UPSBC reports a threefold rise in revenue

During the six and a half years of the Yogi Government, UPSBC, an organization under the Public Works Department, has accomplished a remarkable feat: a fivefold rise in profit and a threefold gain in turnover.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-283964″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-upsbc-reports-a-threefold-rise-in-revenue-th-6-11zon.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com upsbc reports a threefold rise in revenue th 6 11zon” width=”1412″ height=”941″ title=”UPSBC reports a threefold rise in revenue 12″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-upsbc-reports-a-threefold-rise-in-revenue-th-6-11zon.jpg 474w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-upsbc-reports-a-threefold-rise-in-revenue-th-6-11zon-150×100.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1412px) 100vw, 1412px” />

In the last six and a half years, the Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation Limited has built 370 bridges. These consist of 10 flyovers, 107 ROBs, and 253 river bridges. Over the last six and a half years, the department’s turnover has grown three times as a result of the building of these bridges.

The corporation’s turnover for the 2017–18 fiscal year was Rs 1013.74 crore; this year, it is anticipated to exceed Rs 2800 crore, compared to Rs 1,946 crore for the previous year. Similarly, throughout the previous six and a half years, the corporation’s dividend has climbed five times.

The company made a record profit of Rs 119.63 crore in 2022–2023 compared to a dividend of Rs 24.92 crore in 2017–18. In the meanwhile, the company’s goal for the current fiscal year is to construct 45 ROBs and 52 river crossings.

It is clear that the company is making progress toward these objectives since it has already finished building 15 river crossings and 15 ROBs. On top of that, work on thirty ROBs and thirty river crossings is ongoing.

From Arjun Ganj to Mari Mata Temple in the capital, UPSBC intends to build an elevated flyover based on the precast segmental box technology that will link to the Shaheed Path.

The department has eighteen months to finish building this 2.10 km elevated flyover. The building of an underpass under the Shaheed Path is another aspect of the project.

In addition, the company plans to build an underpass using pushing technology to alleviate traffic congestion caused by a metro rail line at the bustling Awadh Chauraha.

In addition, the work of beautifying the playground, parking, food stall, park, restroom, facade, advertisement place, etc. is being done in accordance with the self-sustaining maintenance model in the viaduct part under the railway over-bridge that is being built in Ayodhya, keeping in mind the historical background of the city.
