Following the arrival of the Pakistan cricket team in India, the PCB chairman sparks controversy

The Pakistan cricket team may have had a warm welcome when they arrived in India for the ICC ODI World Cup, but Zaka Ashraf, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has unnecessarily stirred up controversy.

When speaking to reporters, Zaka seemed to refer to India as a “enemy nation” (dushman mulk).<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-211836″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-brazilian-woman-eats-expired-pesto-and-has-paralysis-for-a-year-download-2023-09-2.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com brazilian woman eats expired pesto and has paralysis for a year download 2023 09 2″ width=”1316″ height=”986″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-brazilian-woman-eats-expired-pesto-and-has-paralysis-for-a-year-download-2023-09-2.jpg 259w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-brazilian-woman-eats-expired-pesto-and-has-paralysis-for-a-year-download-2023-09-2-150×112.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1316px) 100vw, 1316px” title=”Following the arrival of the Pakistan cricket team in India, the PCB chairman sparks controversy 9″>

“With the new contracts, we have shown our affection for the players. I have allotted more money to Pakistan than anybody else in recorded history.Mera maksad ye hi hai ki hamaare jitne players hain unka morale up hona chahiye, ya kahi bhi jaaye jaha competition ho raha hai, jab ye kisi dushman mulk me khelne jaaye. In a video that has gone viral on social media, Ashraf said, “(I aim to ensure that the morale of our players is high when they travel to an enemy nation or anywhere in the world to participate in the competition)”.

Today in Hyderabad, Pakistan will take against New Zealand in their first pregame match.

On October 6, they will face the Netherlands in Hyderabad to begin their World Cup campaign.

The welcome at the airport left the Pakistan cricket team, captained by Babar Azam, speechless when they landed in the nation on Wednesday. The squad hasn’t set foot on Indian land for the last seven years.

With the exception of Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Agha, the bulk of the Pakistani team is visiting India for the first time.

A few Pakistani cricketers used social media to express their joy at the Indian supporters’ reaction.

“We did anticipate spectators at the venue, but we were not prepared for a real fan greeting at the airport. For the team, they had formed a line. Even the players were moved by what they saw, according to a Pakistani squad source reported by the news agency PTI.
