Rishabh Pant will be in Dubai for the 2024 IPL Auction

<p>Rishabh Pant will definitely be present at today’s Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in Dubai. The Indian wicketkeeper/battler’s first formal match since his almost deadly mishap on New Year’s Eve of last year will be this one.</p>

<p>A Delhi Capitals owner has confirmed to Cricbuzz that Pant would be present at the auction, however, it has not been verified whether he will be lifting the paddle. The member further said that Pant would captain the team and play in the IPL 2024 the following year. By the end of February, Pant should be totally recovered. The Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to begin in the last week of March, most likely on March 22.<br />
The 25-year-old Pant is expected to take part in a live IPL auction for the first time as the current captain. Coach Ricky Ponting will be at the Delhi Capitals auction table with Pant. According to franchise sources, Pant took part in the discussion with coach Ponting and actively planned the team’s auction strategy.</p>
<p>A number of well-known people will be up for sale, including Gautam Gambhir, who just became the Kolkata Knight Riders’ coach. Gambhir will be seated at the Knight Riders’ table; he has already traveled to Dubai.</p>
<p>Akash Ambani will be representing the Mumbai Indians, while Ness Wadia from the Punjab Kings will also be attending. The Knight Riders’ owner, Jay Mehta, has also blessed us with his presence in Dubai. It is expected that the vast majority of the 10 franchise owners will attend this event.</p>
